Forbidden Fruit is a cultural mash-up of fashion, art, culinary display, music, philanthropy and exuberance; all delicacies in their own right, but when mixed, form the sweet taste of indulgence. Presented by ImSuperDope, and hosted by Luis A. Marrero, Forbidden Fruit: Masquerade Ball, will take place February 13, 2016, and held at a private location, in Philadelphia. The gala will feature a catered reception, from 9:00 pm to 11:00 pm, complete with complimentary food and wine, and music. From 11:00 pm to close, there will be a full-cash-bar available. The dress code is formal attire, for men and women, and will be strictly enforced. Gentlemen, please wear dress shoes, dress pants, suit jacket and a tie. Ladies may wear cocktail dresses or full-length gowns. All guests must be dressed appropriately, and have a mask, to enter.
In addition, February is heart disease awareness month, which affects minority women at a high rate, a percentage of the event’s proceeds will go to Women Heart, for heart disease research and treatment.
